"Could the other half be waiting for a more opportune time to join in? Perhaps when the nationals think they have the upper hand? Then they can rise up and take them be surprise" she suggested.

"Unlikely, at least here in the city," Amrick replied.  "There's a few thousand of them cooling their heels in cells.  Billie is thorough."

"Right" she agreed hesitantly, "but it would not be out of character for them to act in a less than direct method. Perhaps like the way the crime families of Hesterbur do" she suggested.

"Very possible," Amrick allowed.  "Part of that may be decided by those that haven't declared one way or the other.  They'll probably side with Billie before too long, they'll back the winner."

Tamalyn looked from Oldwine to Amrick and back again. "I wouldn't trust that, it is just backing to save your own skin." Tamalyn considered, "what should I be doing? You mentioned going into the district to show support" she said to Oldwine. She looked at Amrick, "or could I use the afternoon for a personal day? I don't want to be seen as uncaring, but I really play no part in anything here. A couple of hours away, I doubt anyone would notice" she shrugged, "or care. Or perhaps one of you has something I could or should be doing" Tamalyn suggested.

"Alliances aren't made from devotion, but need," Oldwine replied.  "Or survival."

"I think it would be a good time for you to go out and visit the shops," Amrick jumped on her latter thoughts.  "Go be seen."

Tamalyn nodded at Amrick, "then I will change into something more suitable" she agreed readily enough. She returned upstairs and changed into a new dress designed by her dresser, one that would allow her to wear her dress mesh underneath and still be attractive. She returned downstairs wearing a long sleeved wool dress decorated with intricate embroidery. She looked at Oldwine "shall we call Breecher and go?" Tamalyn asked already effecting a brighter more public persona. Truthfully, Tamalyn disliked pretending to be a happy carefree woman, but she understood it was expected of her. She would have preferred to take the personal time she had wanted, because she really did not overly care for shopping. And besides, she had wanted to surprise the king during his meeting. "We can stop by my at shop and drop off a few of my finished pieces while we are out" she added.

Breecher joined them quickly enough, he and Oldwine were both heavily armed; but, that was to be expected.  They looked remarkably relaxed as they rode out into the quarter, scarcely nodding at the waves and cheers.

Tamalyn watched a bit confused but not showing that particular emotion to the wavers. When she had mentioned Oldwine's suggestion of going out into the city to her father, she had secretly hoped he would have said not to go. But after seeing peoples reaction to seeing her she wondered if he knew this might happen. She did her best to shake off the feeling of those watchers and concentrate more on emotions of negativity from the crowds. She wondered how Stormy dealt with crowds like this all of the time.

Tamalyn made her art shop her first stop. "I have some of those pieces you requested" she said upon entering. Then she realized that might have been to direct. "Hire has everything been here?" She corrected.

Tamalyn looked back toward the door, then returned her attention back to him. "That may change today" she leaned forward to speak conspiratorially, "people were cheering and waving to me as I rode here. That is not normal" she said straightening up.  "Anyway" Tamalyn began pulling items out of her bag, "here are some naked statuettes, male and female" she added as she lined them up on the counter.

She shrugged, "statuettes sell better than minutures. Though I really don't care what you call them. I will work on a couple of full sized busts in the next couple of days. I don't want too many on sale at any one time or we will flood the market. Not that there is much of a market during this rebellion anyway" she shrugged again. "I should probably make my way to other shops" she said looking back to the door, "apparently my presence will inspire people" she said shrugging again. "I am not entirely sure why" she admitted. "See you at dinner" she said as a good bye, then Tamalyn headed back out into the fresh air followed by her guards.

There were a few snickers as they walked out of the shop.  "So," Oldwine smiled cheerfully.  "Where would you like to inspire next?"

"Very funny" she said giving him a scowl, "this was your idea and your reasoning" she reminded him, "so don't go making it sound like I am full of myself" she chided. "Let's just wander to a few stores and then go have tea with Branor. There really isn't anything I need" she admitted.

"You should put masks on the topless busts," Breecher said in passing and then returned his attention to their surroundings.

"I don't think you're full of yourself," Oldwine said after giving his partner an odd look.  "I'm amused by your reaction."

"Masks" Tamalyn asked confused again, she gave her head a shake, "never mind. Tell me later" she said to Breecher.

She returned her attention to Oldwine, "what is so amusing about my reaction? People don't generally like me, I put them off and yet here is a large group of people who are happy to see me. Do you expect me to understand the sudden change?"

"We will see if it becomes an ongoing issue. I am sure right now emotions are running high. When things calm down, it may stop." Tamalyn wandered into shops and looked at the different sorts of things she could buy. There were some things that would make nice gifts, so she bought things she thought the people in her life might like. By the time they stopped for tea she had something for almost everyone. She sat with Breecher and Oldwine, there were only a few other patrons. "Can we go look at the gates after tea? If I am appreciated by locals, I am sure the staff would like to see me too."

"I should probably visit all of them" she said as the tea was brought to the table. Tamalyn poured the tea into their cups. "Unless you think I should visit some one day and the others another day. I worry that if I wait something may come up and I would not be able to visit" she shrugged. "But, I will follow your lead in this matter" she added.

"Probably best to do a broad circuit," he agreed.  That's four gates and a lot of barricaded streets, but we can touch them all by riding the perimeter."

"Grab some candies," Breecher added.  "Lots of kids about."
