"I think I will have to look for someone with the right skill set. Helda would be good at it, but she has a job that already puts her into position to one day have the power to help womans rights. But I am sure that my friends will be able to help me find the right person." Tamalyn shrugged, "it isn't as if I get many chances to meet many people. Perhaps this rebellion will help with that, did Oldwine tell you that people cheered and waved when they saw me out the other day?"

"I still am" she admitted with a shrug, "I don't know what exactly it means. Are they doing it just so I keep defending the district, maybe they are doing it because they are beginning to get used to me, but what I think mostly is that just because these people like me, if they do" Tamalyn corrected, "that it will have no impact on people of my class. In which case" she shrugged, "there are just to many variables to know what it means. What do you think it means?"

"I suppose that is better than being the uppity foreigner who is stealing the financial standing from the Valcastrian  businesses. But, this only proves that people are fickle and you can not trust the crowds." Tamalyn paused, "I will try to use this sudden change in public opinion to my benefit for as long as it lasts. So, when things calm down and the weather changes. I think we should hold a womans tea in the garden. That will bring woman of all ages, educations, talents and such fourth together. We should then be able to figure out who is interested in womans rights and who is wiling to fight for or against it."

He nodded his agreement at that.  "Your name is better known," he agreed.  "And by staying you've made them think of you as less the foreigner, we'll want to keep them thinking like that."

"I agree" she nodded, "there was no point in leaving. With everything we did to prepare for this, leaving would be pointless." She feel quiet after that thinking her own thoughts. "I was invited to go visit the watchers at Dragon Fire Lake. I would like to do that when things calm down here and we can get things running smoothly again." She said this out of the blue, but she was serious about wanting a few days away. It would help her get her mind back on track, or so she thought anyway.

She shrugged, "perhaps I will." She looked distant after that. She wanted to see what was happening with the rebel commanders and the military. Had the military acted upon her tip or did they miss their window. She was curious and wanted to tell Amrick what had happened as well.

As she watched the building where the leaders frantically scribbled noted was invaded from the window, door, through the basement and even the roof.  They moved with all speed and took them with little to no trouble.

Tamalyn gave a small smile, "they took the rebel commanders of the city" she hesitated, "are taking them now" she corrected. "looks like they took our tip seriously." She brought her attention back to the room, "I am sure your friend is very pleased about this" she added. She wondered what it would mean for the city and if this would have an impact on the rest of the battle for Valcaster. But she didn't mention her thoughts, "I am going to go change for dinner. I will stop and ask Cookie to make some sort of celebratory dessert to" she added, "we don't have to say why we are having it" she added with a smile. With that she was off to talk to the cook.

The kitchen was on the first floor of the basements. "Cookie" she said poking her head into the large room. "I know it is sort notice" she began, "but could you possibly whip up a nice dessert for this evening? I think it will be a nice moral booster" she said not revealing her true reason.

"Wonderful" Tamalyn nodded and gave her a smile, "thank you" she said then went up to bathe and change for dinner. Tamalyn thought that Cookie seemed much happier in this house than she had in the smaller house. Perhaps, she pondered, it was because she was more isolated and didn't have so many people bothering her. Though, Tamalyn was not sure.

Once she was ready and it was time, Tamalyn made her way downstairs to the dining room. She sat next to Helda and Kirsie. After the pleasantries were exchanged Tamalyn asked, "in the spring, after the thaw" she clarified, "what do you think of having a womans tea? I was thinking it would be a good way to find out what the women would like. Also, it would give me an opportunity to meet women who might be interested in employment. I have a position that I would like to give to a woman, if I can find someone who had the right qualifications, experience and physical parameters. She can't be a dainty Belle" she said to clarify. "Anyway, I thought we could use such a tea to see where the priorities of the women lie, and perhaps find a way to help then achieve their goals. What do you think?" She asked her two closest friends.

"You Selnens drink a lot of tea," Kirsie observed.

"Do you do everything over steaming cups?" Halda agreed.  "We don't have a tradition of teas, but I think that's going to change."

"That is actually easy to answer. How do you think husbands, fathers or brothers would respond if their female relative said their were going to a womans rally? I think the men would lock the women up to keep them safe. Tea is unthreatening, men think it is funny that women meet for tea. They are happy that they don't have to attend, they are rarely interested enough to even ask what happened at a tea. It is the perfect reason to get together and no one questions it, after all it is just tea" she shrugged. "It doesn't have to be tea though, that is why I was asking what you thought. It is more important to me to get women to attend than what we actually call it. We can have a womans rave if that is what we have to do" she said the last with a hint of her smile.

"Might as well stick to tea," Helda said after a moment's thought.  "You're right, tea would make the men wave as the ladies left and then dash down to the tavern."

Tamalyn nodded her agreement, then she looked at Helda. "Why do you think tea will become more common in Valcastria since it isn't popular now?"

"I hope to use that to my advantage" Tamalyn admitted, "but, in truth I did not know that. I do not pay much attention to the upper echelon. Business men are a different matter entirely, those men I have been watching closely." Tension pondered, "in that case, we will need the tea to be as opulent we can. Fruits, teas and breads from around the world served on my finest silver and crystal. Perhaps with musicians playing music in the background" she nodded as she pictured it in her mind. "We will make a production of tea and see who copies us" she smiled. "Maybe I will even be able to bring up the bust line of the current fashion" she said hopefully.

"One day" she said patiently, "I have lots of time. It will happen someday." Tamalyn was confident it would happen eventually, she would have lifetimes to work on it.

"Meanwhile the streets are unsafe and the snow is only days away. What should we do to keep ourselves occupied? I was thinking that perhaps we should ask Oldwine and Breecher to teach us the at of self defense" she suggested. Tamalyn already knew how, but none of her friends probably realized that. She figured that it could not hurt them to have knowledge of weaponry or hand to hand combat.

Tamalyn ignored the comment about the weather, "did you avoid the real question because you are not interested? If you don't want to do it, just say so" she shrugged. "I thought it would be a good way to pass the winter. We certainly don't have to do it. I can stick to making figurines" she shrugged again.
